Menu design for Lala's Restaurant in Hollywood, California.
Had a blast designing this invitation suite for my best friend's wedding. The inspiration was pages torn out of a book, to go with literary elements throughout their wedding.
Menu design for 1810 Restaurant, located in Downtown Los Angeles.
While at Steinberg, I designed environmental graphics for the student lounge of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. The graphic, abstracted from images of cardiac tissue, was applied to glass on the second story, with sections of varying opacity to create sightlines to activity below while maintaining privacy. This motif was repeated on study tables and as elevator graphics.
For the past two years, I worked at Steinberg Architects doing graphic design and marketing, ranging from putting together proposals and presentations to helping build a new website and brand standards. I continue to work with Steinberg on a freelance basis. My time working there helped me pinpoint the type of design work I like doing most - creating elegant visuals to communicate complex systems or ideas.
I worked with Monica Crooms to design a logo and business cards for Crooms Arevalo, her newly formed immigration law firm in Southern California.

When I was diagnosed with hairy cell leukemia in July 2016, I decided to make a documentary podcast series that explored dealing with a scary diagnosis, getting treatment, and learning how to move forward. I designed the website and the podcast art, and learned the basics of making audio for this project.
Despite the inherently difficult subject, the series ended on a positive note when I got the good news that I'm in remission. You can subscribe on iTunes to listen in your Podcast app or visit the website where I have all six of the episodes posted here.
